Jammu and Kashmir Bank offers its customers three types of schemes for education loans and each of the J&K Bank education loan schemes serve a different purpose. While one scheme provides loan for higher education in India or abroad, a second scheme provides loan for M. Ed or B. Ed courses and the third scheme provides loan for primary education. So providing such different varieties of loan schemes, the bank tries to meet all the requirements of individuals seeking an Education Loan and boosting the morale of financially poor but meritorious students deserving to pursue higher studies without any financial obstacle from alleged educational institutions in India or abroad. ELIGIBILITY
a) Should be an Indian National
b) Should have secured admission to a higher education course in recognized institutions in India or Abroad through Entrance Test/ Merit Based Selection process after completion of HSC(10 plus 2 or equivalent).
COURSES FINANCED (INDIA)
a) Approved courses leading to graduate/ post graduate degree and P G diplomas conducted by recognized colleges/universities recognized by UGC/ Govt./ AICTE/ AIBMS/ ICMR etc.
b) Professional courses: Engineering, Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Law, Dental, Management, Computer etc.
c) Courses like ICWA, CA, CFA etc. besides those conducted by IIM, IIT, IISc, XLRI, NIFT, NID etc.
d) Approved courses offered in India by reputed foreign universities.
e) Courses offered by National Institutes and other reputed private institutions.
Studies abroad: -
a) Graduation: For job oriented professional/ technical courses offered by reputed Universities.
b) Post-graduation: MCA, MBA, MS, etc.
c) Courses conducted by CIMA- London, CPA in USA etc.
d) Degree/diploma courses like aeronautical, pilot training, shipping etc provided these are recognized by competent regulatory bodies in India/abroad for the purpose of employment in India/abroad.
