A village in Meghalaya known as Mawsynram is said to receive the highest recorded average rainfall. Another village in the state, known as Cherrapunji holds the record for the most rainfall way back in the year 1861.

The Chail Cricket Ground in Himachal Pradesh is the world’s highest cricket ground situated at an altitude of 2,444 meters. It was established in 1893 and is part of the renowned Chail Military School.

   • Shampooing – an Indian concept
