NEET 2020: Some tips on how to appear in exam centre

Just one day left for the National Eligibility Cum entrance test (Neet), scheduled to be conducted on September 13. As the exam is being held amid the pandemic, candidates need practice not just their academics but also practice writing with gloves and mask on.

 

More than 15 lakh aspirants have registered themselves for the NEET exam. The NTA had already released a strict list of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which includes a special dress code, the type of water bottle, and what to carry to the exam centre. The strict guidelines were introduced due to Covid-19. The exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm at across 3,842 centres. The candidates appearing for the NEET exam would have to bring a duly-filed 'self-declaration form' describing their health status.

Here are some tips for around 16 lakh NEET aspirants on how to give their best during the exam. Candidates are hence advised to follow the norms and instructions provided by NTA.

 

Candidates will be permitted to carry only these items with them into the examination room/hall

 

1| Mask on the face, Gloves on hand, Personal transparent water bottle, Personal small hand sanitizer (50 ml), Exam related documents as instructed(Admit Card, ID card, etc). Masks are mandatory. Students can wear gloves and face shields.

 

2| All candidates are required to carry with them their NEET 2020 Admit Card with duly filled declaration form, original government-issued photo id card, PwD certificate (if applicable).

 

3| A ballpoint pen is permitted and has to be carried to fill in the answer sheets.

 

4| Phones, Bluetooth devices and other transmitting devices are strictly prohibited at the examination centre.

 

Managing Candidate after Entry into the centre:

 

- At the entry of Registration Room, their body temperature is recorded through the thermal gun.

- If the temperature  (< 37.4�C/99.4�F), they move to frisking personnel for frisking. If the temperature is (> 37.4�C/99.4�F), they will be taken to the Isolation Room.

- Candidates display Admit card, Valid Govt. ID proof, PwD certificate(if PwD candidate), Scribe undertaking (if applicable in proforma given in  Information Bulletin) to Invigilator on duty across the table.
